Blog Entry: We live in a fast world. Ready meals instead of good old fashioned home cooking. Microwave meals and take aways. Electronic instant messaging and emails. Drive through food outlets. We live in a world of NOW! we want it and want it yesterday. What ever happened to taking time to get it right? Quite often this is the reason that we don't get it right. Laying a foundation is the only way to build ANYTHING! Elementary school lays the foundation for our education and you cannot rush that. Knowing Gods will is the foundation of our Christian walk. We can say the sinners prayer (and yes we are saved) but without a good foundation of the WORD, the building will collapse around us. The oldest person ever recorded was Methuselah, He lived to be 999. Not one of us is ever going to be perfect (Only Christ holds that record) but if we lay the solid foundations in the first place we stand a better chance of being Christ like. Even Methuselahs' 999 years never got him perfection and if we lived twice his time we would never come close to the perfection of Christ. My message therefore is to slow down the pace of life and let the foundations of the word set in our hearts and minds...we have a chance to build for eternity if we slow down the pace! When it comes to the word of God let us cook it slowly on a simmer and enjoy some good Home cooking......love Stu!
